Walt has been a member of Project Liberty Ship since 2001, serving in the Deck Department. He previously spent four years in the US Navy and 32 years at the National Security Agency, retiring in 1999. Walt also volunteers with the Gettysburg National Battlefield Park in the cannon restoration shop as well as the Eisenhower National Historical Site. He was elected to the Board of Directors in 2007.
