Lou Jerbi, a deeply respected member of Project Liberty Ship,
died suddenly while working aboard the JOHN W BROWN on January 23, 2010,
at the age of 60.
Lou worked at the Social Security Administration before retiring in 1997.
He joined Project Liberty Ship in 1997, soon to be followed by his two sons
and his wife. Over the years Lou held varied shipboard duties, including
working in the deck department, serving as chief steward, as an instructor
with the youth program, and most recently as vessel security officer.
Lou is survived by his wife, Diane, sons John and Michael, all members of
Project Liberty Ship, his mother, Adelaide, a brother, a niece and a nephew,
plus his many close friends in Project Liberty Ship.
