Mark has been a member of Project Liberty Ship and an enthusiastic member of the deck crew since 1998. He has had a lifelong interest in maritime history and is a former commercial diver who onced helped restore the pier where the Brown is now berthed. Mark also holds a limited tonnage US Coast Guard Captain's License and also participates in wooden ship building and marine archaeological activities.

Mark looks forward to the challenge of maintaining the Brown for future generations to see.
