1953-1958 - Five year formal engineering apprenticeship with the UK Atomic Energy Authority. 1958 - Engineering Officer with Union Castle Mail Steamship Co. Sailed from Europe to South Africa as Engineering Officer on the following vessels: M/V ROXBURGH CASTLE, M/V BLOEMFONTEIN CASTLE, M/V RIEBEECK CASTLE, M/V TANTALLON CASTLE, M/V TINTAGEL CASTLE. 1960 - Joined Peeder & Mylechreest to deliver the coastal tanker M/T ANGLO to Ecuador. 1960-1961 - Emigrated to United States. Worked in various shipyards in Baltimore. Bethlehem Steel (Key Highway), Maryland Shipbuilding and Drydock and General Ship Repair. 1961-1963 - Drafted into US Army. Trained as a computer programmer. 1963 to Date - Computer Consultant. August 1988 - Joined Project Liberty Ship after seeing the SS JOHN W BROWN in the Baltimore Inner Harbor.
