1991
For the first time since 1946, the SS JOHN W. BROWN is now able to steam under her own power again.
She is one of the only three operating World War II museum ships in the United States.
We had so many applicants for our "Matron Voyage" of the newly operational ship, we had to schedule two voyages on succesive days.
She carried about 600 members and guests each day on her inaugural cruises.
